Gail Susan Mancuso directs comedy for television. Born July 14, 1958 in Melrose Park, Illinois. She started as a talk-show usher, became a script supervisor on Showtime’s Brothers, then associate director on Roseanne. When a director left in 1991 she took the chair and stayed through season eight.
