About
Giuseppe Crisa builds Forno Classico wood-fired brick ovens in Goleta. The company’s own About page is his story: as a boy in Palermo he learned the craft beside his grandfather; in Terrasini he watched the pizzaiolo at Basile Pizzeria; in Santa Barbara he turned that memory plus mechanical engineering into the Cupola.
He arrived from Sicily in 2006. The first oven was for himself, then a garage, then a handshake warehouse on Aero Camino. The Independent (2019) had him at about 60 ovens a year for houses and restaurants — The Lark, Lucky Penny, Convivo, S.Y. Kitchen, Madeo in L.A., and the Colosso 140 at SBCC culinary.
Site line since 2000: rooted in tradition, driven by innovation. Phone on the recipes page: (805) 895-2626.
